The rug itself is very nice, good quality for the price. The problem I have is that the picture and the name of the color I ordered is a bit misleading. I ordered "Beige" and the picture actually looked like it might have gold tones. But what I got, and what the seller confirmed was what I ordered is much darker. The label on the product I received said it was "Oatmeal". I contacted customer service, who by the way was very prompt and helpful. They assured me that Oatmeal was the same as Beige. But what I got was a brown and white rug. So just be aware of that the pictures on the website may not be true. It’s a very well made rug just need a to relax and flatten out. I’m thinking I need to set it outside upside down for a few days in the sun. I’m open to ideas on how to get it to lay flat.I really like this rug. I ordered this one in yellow and a different brand for my den in red. This one has one folds at all whereas the other does. I’m very satisfied with this rug.Love, Love this rug!!!! Looks great in front of the fireplace. I purchased because it said fire resistant/retardant however, the label on the back says keep away from fire...so not sure if it’s meant for a fireplace area rug but it looks great and I’m buying another smaller one for in front of the door!!I was in search of a mustard colored rug to match my sitting area. When I came across this rug and read the positive reviews I instantly purchased it. I was not only insearch of the perfect color but also for softness. So according to the reviews I hit the jack pot. I just received my rug today. I was so excited when it was delivered but soon became disappointed. The rug did not come packaged well . The plastic has several holes in it. But I can look pass that. I felt the rug an knew it was not soft. The rug is very true to the description when it comes to color but not softness. Unless I just received a different rug than everyone else. I took off 2 stars due to poor packaging which resulted in minor dirt spots as well as lack of softness. Very thin, hard brittle feeling. LOVE the color but HATE the rug, especially since I like to sit on the floor I was in need of something soft and cozy.UPDATE: 7-22-18After having this rug for a couple of weeks and vacuuming. The rug did soften! The picture makes it look quite thick and fluffy, which it really isn't, but it is a nice, seemingly durable rug. It is very soft and my cats love it. We will have to wait and see how the flame-resistance is.I have this rug on a bran new carpet, it Slides a bit. So I put a non skid surface under! Works! This rug is perfect for the area we needed to fill-and it is definitely resisting the embers that occasionally pop out of our fireplace! It is a little tricky to vacuum, but if I hold my foot down on one end, and lift the vacuum so that there isn’t too much suction, it works out well. We also have just taken it outside and given it a good shake. I would buy this item again for sure!Very disappointed - nothing like as soft and fluffy as it appears in picture, loose, hard pile. More importantly this is advertised as a fireside rug - but on the back it says to keep away from fire. I bought this as a fireside rug - to sit in front of my woodburner which I use every day in winter, so even if I wasn't disappointed in the feel and appearance I couldn't keep it for safety reasons.I’m really pleased with my rug. I’ve been looking for quite a while and was prepared to pay a fair bit to get the yellow accent colour I particularly wanted. I’ve checked out many styles - classical patterns, bright modern, multi-coloured, geometric, plain, woven, shaggy, sculpted, wool, synthetic, etc. etc.I finally settled on this one because it seemed to fit the bill regarding the colour and yet was inexpensive enough to be just a stopgap if necessary. It’s soft, dense, the pile is easy to fluff up with your fingers and it just needs a bit of weight overnight to flatten the edges after you’ve unrolled it. I’ve also used some rubber matting underneath for safety as it’s a woven back on a wooden floor. It’s absolutely ideal and it’s staying!Product....1.is not shaggy at all. 2.has minimal covering that so u can see base coming through all over rug. 3.Advertised as "fireplace rug" but on bottom says "keep it away from fire". 4.Slips on wood floors easily. 5. And your returns policy os so complicated and costs 25% of the cost of the product. That you do not deserve to be in business at all.Firstly, this is not and should not be advertised as a 'fireside rug' and if you purchase as such you will be disappointed as this is not fireproof. If you are looking for a rug to place either near a hearth or in place of one, for goodness sake stear well clear of this. Thankfully my purchase was for a bedroom and not a high traffic area or near our wood burning stove. While the colour (I ordered deep purple) is a true representation of the product images, the deep, thick pile is sadly lacking and you get what you pay for. It's a cheap rug and that's exactly what it looks and feels like, although the fibers are very soft. The individual threads are spaced quite widely apart (I've tried to depict this in my two close up pictures-the blue specks is the carpet backing). Even after a good fluff and vacuum the rug still appears sparse and thus the pile also looks (and feels) far less dense than the product pictures suggest which also leads to a lack of weight to hold the rug in place. For a bedroom this is fine, but in a more prominent position or high traffic area it's not. It's a real shame as the variety of colours and sizes lend to being perfect for multiple rooms, but the overall quality does not.I ordered this rug to replace to existing rugs of the same size and description. Annoyingly the 'Ontario Cream Off White Fireside Shaggy Shag Fluffy Living Room Area Rug' was a great disappointment when it arrived, especially as I'd bought three of them based upon the picture in the advertisement. My current rugs only last in good condition for about six months, hence wanting to replace them, but they have a much deeper pile and actually look like the advertised rugs; the rugs which arrived are rather mean by comparison (see my photograph) the pile is not thick and the dark backing can be seen through the rug in places. I have done my best to 'plump it up' but it can't be improved as the pile is not as long as I was expecting nor as thick. This is a shame as I was really looking forward to receiving my new rugs and now I'll have to try and return them. Still, they were very reasonable so I suppose this should have been a clue to their quality.
