First the good. It pretty much looks like the picture. Maybe a little bit darker. It lies flat when unrolled. Overall it seems decent for the price.Now the bad....it ships in a large plastic bag and when you first unpack it you'll be greeted by a TON of debris. Loose shag and 'sand' like material from the back of the rug (It's pretty much like a giant bath mat on the back but not as 'rubbery') will pretty much get everywhere. It cleans up nicely after vacuuming but it really made a big mess and hours later I still have some of the dust in the back of my throat.So suits my purposes and looks pretty nice for the price but I would suggest opening it outside or in the garage first.This rug is NOT super soft... what do you expect for this price?But it IS kinda soft... and shaggy... and thick enough. My dogs love laying on it. My feet love treading across it (instead of the cold hardwood floor).It vacuums well (on the highest setting my vacuum has).It is a true black and I don't see any of the backing show thru unless I part the shag with my hand.There was NO chemical smell when it arrived.It laid out completely flat within the first day.You get what you pay for! This is not a high end super soft fluffy rug - but honestly it's wonderful for the price.Totally satisfied with the reality of this rug.I really like this rug, the only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the fibers on the rug are a bit rough. I was hoping for a softer shag but for the price, I can't complain too much. I have hard wood floors and wanted something plush for my sons room. It is nice to walk on barefoot and my son also likes to run his fingers through the rug when he is playing on the floor. I would purchase another rug like this.I suppose the difficult part of purchasing a rug from the internet is the lack of ability to see it in person. From the pictures provided, I was expecting the rug to have a more uniform color; this is more like 60% gray colored pieces with 40% black colored pieces intermixed throughout. Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice looking rug, just not what I expected. Furthermore, I was expecting it to be a lot softer, but once again, we do not have that luxury when purchasing via online.Would I buy it again?For 90$, no. I find 60$ a fair price for this rug, but this is just my opinion.I just love this rug! It is true to size and made very well. The shag is just the perfect amount. No loose carpet parts and all. I use it for the back door for when my dogs come in the house. I have taught them to wipe their feet, been using a towel which has been nothing but a pain, and this rug has made life so easy for the doggies and me! I'm ready to buy another for the front door now.To tell you the truth, this rug is so well made that if I could purchase this product for a whole room I absolutely would. Very nice and soft on the feet. Thank you Garland Rugs!Arrived in a nice Sleeve. Love the rug, looks nice in my living room. I've got many complements on it. Very soft to the touch. My only complaint is the first couple times of vacuuming it, a lot of the black fabric was vaccumed up. It did not seem to change the look of the rug, but did get my vaccum pretty dirty.This carpet is amazing. It is really shaggy and soft. I gave it 4 stars because the backing does shed a lot. There were white stuff all over my carpet after I unpack it. Nevertheless, it's a good carpet for the price. I love it!!Good rug, it's holding up and didn't cause any shedding issues or anything. The rug colors are spot on, but according to the pic, the edging looks like a dark charcoal or black, in reality it's light taupe. Wasn't a deal breaker & I happily kept it, but would've preferred the darker edge shown.
